Flirting Parties ... Flirting.com - pg 3 (next page)

Tony from Hoboken, New Jersey, is the guy holding the football and wearing blue jeans.  He is a die-hard football fan and loves to host tailgate parties to show his support for his favorite football team.  He also loves tailgating because of the flirting it encourages.

"You'd be amazed at how many single chicks actually go to tailgates," he said.  "I think they know all the cool guys are there." (Or all of the single guys who always hang out with thier buddies at sporting events)

Tony illustrates a great point about flirting.  Girls aren't dumb. If they're in the market for a man, they'll go where they know men will be (even if it means tailgating in a urine soaked parking lot prior to kick off). You won't have to seek out the action.  Like Tony, go to the parties you enjoy the most and the action will come to you.

Cheryl and Matt have mutual friends who love to host fancy dinner parties.  The two met at one such party, where Matt suavely slid up to her and engaged her in polite and refined conversation.

"Dinner parties are great flirting hotbeds," he told us.  "First, there is the ease and relaxation because everyone is pretty much screened.  You know you have at least the host in common. If not even more friends in common. It just works out well."

Don't know many friends that have dinner parties?  Host one yourself.  Invite your friends and tell them to bring some friends, too.  After all, the more the merrier when it comes to flirting.

PARTIES

Tony from Syracuse, New York, likes to find himself between a rock and soft place, as he describes it.

"I like being a girl's friend among friends," he said.  "I like having women call me to discuss things and tell me what is on their minds. Often times, they are aware I do this with other women and then their jealousies play against each other.  Oh well... It works to my advantage!"

Tony is right.  He leveraged his flirting position to one that no matter where he turns, one hot babe is bound to kiss a cheek.  Well done, Tony.  After all, we all know it is flirty to "turn the other cheek."  Maybe more people would do that if they had two nice looking women waiting for their cheek, like Tony.

Harry met Sandra at a New Year's party where they where one of a handful of people amongst many couples without a date for the bash that was set in a swanky Manhattan club.

"If you're single and you want to get your dating life started," he told Flirting.com.  "Don't miss New Year's Parties.  They're a goldmine."

Harry's right.  The New Year is always filled with promise and if you can't even get a kiss when the ball drops, then you may not get any kisses at all. All singles want to start the year off with a date.

PARTIES

Flirting at parties is easy to do when you're asked to attend as a stand in date for a high powered corporate attorney, says Yvonne in Washington, DC.

"Being single and successful with my own law practice," she told Flirting.com. "I have many friends who recommend me to any of their friends who are successful lawyer types in short supply of a date for important dinners.  Many would not dare go alone. This way I get to flirt and also network for new clients."

Yvonne knows that flirting at parties is about networking as much as it is about flirting.  In some cases, they are one and the same.  Just ask Yvonne.

Michelle, John and Cindy are all pals in Milwaukee, and they know disco night at their favorite downtown club is some of the best flirting to be had.

"I like the disco night best for flirting," said Cindy.  "The costumes we put on, say loud and clear we are here to have a fun time."

You can flirt like this trio.  Pick up the local guide to your city's entertainment and night life offerings and look for 70's night.  For a small pittance you can pick up some outfits at a second hand store and let the flirting and boogieing begin.

Beach parties (and beaches in general) are other prime locations for flirting.   Here in Newport Beach, California, Natalie, a college undergrad, shares her secrets to great beach flirting with Flirting.com.

"I always ask a cute guy if I can make a call with his cell phone because I left mine back in our hotel room," she said, wryly.  "This usually starts a very flirtatious conversation."

Good one, Natalie.  You might as well say you can't find your phone and need to call it. This way you will have his number and an excuse as to why. You can flirt like her, too, by conveniently asking for anything you might have "happened to forget" at your room, such as suntan lotion.  While your at it, ask him if he can rub it in for you.

FLIRTING

Carlos, from New York City, New York, loves to attend fine restaurants with clients and then sometimes stays by himself to flirt with anyone there for an occasion of their own.

"Hey, I know a lot of business types live in bars," he said.  "I just hang around to beat the rush hour traffic, but there's always something going on at the places I frequent.  I drop a couple interested looks and the flirting starts."

Carlos is great at private party flirting.  Do this by putting yourself in the proximity of a private party, say a retirement celebration at a restaurant, and feign interest as to what is going on.  Next thing you know, you are part of it.  Just like Carlos.
